Bodden Tours COVID-19 Biosecurity Measures

Port Check-in at Bodden Tours Kiosk

  1. Bodden Tours Kiosk operators & staff must wear a mask at all times.

  2. Hand sanitizer station will be available for guests.

  3. No-contact Temperature checks of each guest will be required prior to entering the tour vehicle. Any guests with an elevated temperature and/or visible symptoms will be documented and moved into the designated isolation room on the port property for screening by the BIO Security Supervisor. The Department of Health must be contacted immediately to begin the intake process if determined necessary by the BIO Security Supervisor.

Tour Transportation

  1. Vehicle Capacity
    Limited capacity to 70% for groups not traveling in the same "social-bubble"

    • ​15-seat vehicles: Capacity reduced to carry 10 guests

    • ​29-seat vehicles: Capacity reduced to carry 20 guests

    •  5-seat vehicles: Capacity reduced to carry 3 guests

  2. Inside-Vehicle Protective Measures

    • Plexiglass barriers between passengers and vehicle operators with limited speaking holes to allow for communication

    • Use of face masks at all times inside the vehicle including tour guests and operators.

    • Hand sanitizer will be provided to guests within the vehicle. Guests must sanitize or wash hands upon each entry into the vehicle.

    • Windows must be kept open during the tour.

  3. Vehicle Sanitization

    • Drivers will disinfect their tour vehicle before, and at the end of each tour.

    • During the tour, the driver will disinfect high-touch surfaces including door handles, seats, armrests, steering wheel, gear shift, door console, air vents, seats and all hard surfaces using alcohol-based sanitizing spray.

    • Each vehicle will be equipped with a garbage can.

  4. During Your Tour

    • Passengers will be required to wear a mask to enter and while inside the tour vehicle

    • Driver will provide hand sanitizer to guests.

    • Passengers not traveling in the same "social-bubble" will be required to sit in accordance with social distancing regulations.

Mayan Jungle Canopy / Victor's Monkey & Sloth Sanctuary

  1. Parking Information
    Two Separate Parking Areas

    • Parking lot 1, exclusively for Bodden Tours guests

    • Parking lot 2, for independent tour operators, taxis and rental vehicles

  2. Park Entry/Sanitation Area

    • Temperature will be taken prior to park entry.

    • Guests are required to wash hands.

    • Guests will be required to wear a face mask at all times.

    • Guests are required to disinfect shoes via sanitization mats.

    • Guests will enter by "social-bubble" groups 

  3. Park Lobby/Ticketing

    • Plexiglass barriers are installed between guests and staff with limited speaking holes to allow for communication. 

    • Please observe and follow Social distancing floor-stickers.

    • Disinfect shoes via sanitizing mats prior to entering the lobby.

  4. Victor's Monkey & Sloth Sanctuary Tour

    • Maximum number of guests per tour group:

      • 6 guests, if from different "social-bubble" groups, or

      • 8 guests, if within the same "social-bubble" group.

    • Guests must wear a mask and practice safe social distancing throughout the guided tour.

    • Monkey/Sloth Guides will disinfect high-touch areas (such at gate handles) after each tour group.

    • Sanitizing Stations are available to guests throughout the premisis

  5. Mayan Jungle Canopy Zipline Tour

    • Maximum number of guests per tour group:

      • 6 guests, if from different "social-bubble" groups, or

      • 8 guests, if within the same "social-bubble" group.

    • Guests must wear a mask and practice safe social distancing throughout the guided zipline tour.

    • Zipline platforms will have reduced numbers of guests, always enforcing social distancing rules.

    • Individual tour groups will not share zipline platforms or have to "cross" other tour groups at common areas.

    • Zipline guides will disinfect all zipline equipment and gear before and after each tour group.

    • Sanitizing Stations are available to guests throughout the premises.

Bodden Tours Staff Biosecurity Measures & Training Information

  1. All Employees will be trained about biosecurity measures and current safety protocol. 

  2. COVID_19 BIO Security Supervisor: The BSS ​will conduct regular spot-checks throughout the property and observe that all safety protocols are being followed and assure that guests are in compliance.

  3. Health and Safety Risk Committee: Each HSRC member will be assigned to supervise a specific protocol area (e.g. transportation, janitorial, lobby, public guest areas, zipline equipment storage, etc) and will gather information from employees to present to the committee for review and discussion.

  4. All employees are required to have a temperature screening at the beginning of each shift. 

  5. Employees and staff are required to wear a face mask at all times.

  6. Sanitizing mats, and hand sanitizer stations will be available for guests and staff throughout the Bodden Tour facilities.

  7. Social distancing stickers are placed throughout the premises to remind guests of proper social distancing guidelines.

  8. Restroom facilities will have water, soap, and disposable paper towels.  An assigned staff-member will be in charge of frequent disinfection of the door locks, toilet handles and sink faucets, as well as other high-touch surfaces.

  9. Single direction routes are indicated throughout the property to avoid crossings with other tour groups.

  10. All high-touch surfaces used by clients and staff will be frequently sanitized and disinfected after each use.
